Remote Connection
An external source selection of the line inputs can be done via the 9-pin Sub-D remote connection (10) with the corresponding
wiring (refer to chapter "9.2 Wiring Diagram "Remote"). LEDs indicating the corresponding status feedback.
For devices that are to be operated with RS 232 serial interface control (for example media control systems such as CUE, Crestron, AMX)
use the AP 232 PCB. Refer also to chapter "11. AP 232 Retrofit Kit".
For devices that are to be operated with source selection and VCA use the AP 100 PCB. Refer also to chapter "10. AP 100 Retrofit Kit".
10. AP 100 Retrofit Kit
For operation and configuration of the MIX 10 via an external keyboard for source selection and the VCA, upgrade the MIX 10 with
the AP 100 retrofit kit.
1. Disconnect the MIX 10 from the mains and remove the upper lid of the housing. You can remove the screws with a size 2 Allen-type
wrench.
2. Check if the bridge board is present. If yes, remove the board.
3. Plug in the AP 100 retrofit kit.
Important: Make sure that the arrow indication ">>>" in the corner of the AP 232 retrofit kit points to the right housing corner on
the front (mains switch).
10.1 VCA
The MIX 10 can be remotely controlled with a voltage-dependent volume control via the remote connection (10). Depending on the
use and configuration the overall master or the line and microphone master can be controlled separately (refer to chapter "6.7 Table
Jumper Configuration"). The control takes place using an internal voltage available via dropping and regulating resistors. The control
voltage is 0 - 10 V DC. Furthermore, it is possible to send the control voltage (0 - 10 V) from an external device.

9-pin Sub-D plug
If the MIX 10 is equipped with the AP 232 retrofit kit the 9-pin Remote connection is used as a standard RS 232 interface (refer to
chapter "11. AP 232 Retrofit Kit").
