NOTE: You might notice a slight odour the fi rst time you use the device. This is harmless
and will cease as you use the device.
Ironing With and Without Mains Cable
You can use this iron both with and without a mains cable. To do this, move the adapter
catch (6) into one of the three possible positions:

If the mains cable is connected to the iron during ironing, the set temperature is maintained
constantly and at all times. The device works like a conventional iron.
In the case of cordless ironing, the temperature drops after a little while. The iron
needs to be placed in the storage station at regular intervals (approx. 2 to 6 minutes) and
connected to the adapter so that the set temperature is maintained. The intervals are
slightly longer with dry-ironing than they are with steam-ironing.
Filling the Water Reservoir
CAUTION!
• Always pull out the mains plug before you top up/empty the water reservoir. Always
pull the plug and never the cable.
• Use tap water. Distilled water may have an adverse effect on the integrated limescale
fi lter.
• Never pour any additives into the water reservoir. This could destroy the device and
safe working is no longer guaranteed.
• Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note max marking on the water reservoir!).
The water reservoir needs to be fi lled for steam-ironing or spraying. If you only want to
dry-iron, there is no need for this.

2. Flip open the water reservoir cap (13). Please note that it cannot be completely de-
tached from the device.
3. Fill the reservoir up to the max marking with tap water. It holds approx. 240 ml.
4. Firmly shut the water reservoir cap. It must engage audibly.
Heating Up the Iron
1. Check the label in the garment for the required ironing temperature (see the "Ironing
Recommendations" chapter) and set this temperature using the temperature con-
trol (17). Turn the temperature setting you want to the marking (18). Move the steam

• A Cordless ironing: The adapter (5) is fi xed on the storage
station (9) and detached from the iron.
• B Storage and transport: The iron and the adapter are
fi xed to the storage station.
• C Ironing with mains cable: The adapter with mains cable
is fi xed on the iron and detached from the storage station.
