Exchanging the multi-LED or the profile half-cylinder

Should it be necessary to exchange the installed profile half-cylinder for a different model, e.g. if
you wish to integrate the emergency exit control unit into an existing locking system, initially the
integrated profile half-cylinder must be dismantled and subsequently the exchange cylinder
mounted. When performing the necessary work, take particular care to avoid damage at the
control unit. Please therefore follow the instructions provided below.
1) After releasing and removing the upper part of the housing, initially the ribbon cable
which connects the pcb in the upper part of the housing to the lower part of the housing
must be unplugged. This is done by pulling it out at the plug housing. Never pull on the
ribbon cable itself, as it could otherwise be damaged.
2) Now release the hexagonal screw which connects the profile half-cylinder to the fastening
bracket.
3) The push the profile half-cylinder backwards through the housing and remove it, ensuring
that the spring switching elements are not damaged by the closing lever of the cylinder.
4) Insert the new profile half-cylinder by pushing it from the inside of the housing through
the housing. Then fasten it with the hexagonal screw to the fixing bracket in such a way
that the cylinder closes flush with the front of the housing, adjusting the cylinder in such a
way that the closing lever comes to a stop at the backing plate of the switching element
when switching.
5) Then check whether the closing level of the profile half cylinder correctly actuates the
spring switching elements and therefore the switches.
6) Restore the connection with the aid of the ribbon cable, and close the control terminal.
7) Start up the unit and subsequently carry out a function test.

Model selection:

For use with the emergency exit control terminal, the shortest 90° left-hand profile half cylinders
with a length of 30 mm to 35 mm must be used.
