5.6 Changing batteries

Note on disposal: Remove the batteries before the device is scrapped. Batter-
ies may not be disposed of in the household trash! Take your used batteries to a
collection point, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally responsi-
ble manner.

Slide the cover below the buttons downwards and then remove it.
Remove the old batteries.
Insert new batteries type 23A/. Pay attention to the polarity (+ and -).
Follow the safety instructions (section 4.0).
Clean the filter housing (2+8) monthly, or if the pump capacity is reduced,
by using a soft brush under running water or use the OASE special
cleaner (order number 52969).
Insure ease of movement of the built-in flap of the water distributor (3).
Also clean the two pumps in the case of frequent use (for dismantling see
section 6.1)
Remove screw (1).
Remove filter housing (2).
Pull out holding clamps (10).
Remove the pump from the filter housing (8).
If required loosen the cap nut of the water distributor (3).
If required loosen and remove the nuts of the step hose connectors (5+11).
Dismantle the filter housing (section 6.1)
Clean the pump with a soft brush under flowing water.
Remove any grime in the rotor through the openings.
Further assembly is the reverse sequence of the steps described in section 6.1.
Take the pump out of the water.
Thoroughly clean the pump (see section 6.0)
Check the pump for damage.
Store the pump in frost-free conditions, in a container with water if possible.
Caution: Never immerse the connecting plug!
