For your own safety, please contact an electrical specialist in case of
questions and problems!
Before reaching in the water, always unplug all power cords of devices in
the water.
Connect the pump only to a power receptacle with ground contact. This
type of outlet must have been set up according to the respective national
directives (VDE, EN... IEC etc.) Insure that the PE conductor extends all the
way to the pump.
Never use installations, adapters, extension cords or power cords without
ground contact!
Insure that the pump is supplied via a residual current device (Fl or RCD)
with a measured residual current of not more than 30mA.
This residual current protective device must be type A (DC-sensitive) accord-
ing to EN 61008-1 (
Electrical installations on garden ponds must correspond to the interna-
tional and national installation directives.
Only operate the pump if no one is in the water!
Do not carry or pull the pump by the power cord!
Keep the power plug and all connecting parts dry!
The pump may not be operated if the cable or the housing are defective!
If the power cord of the pump is damaged, then it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or his customer service, or by a similarly qualified
person, to avoid hazard.
Never displace any liquids other than water!
Caution! The built-in temperature monitor automatically turns off the pump
in the case of overload (a blocked rotor for example). After the mo-
tor cools down the pump will restart automatically. Accident hazard!
Read and familiarize yourself with the safety instructions (section 4.0)
before placing in service!
Compare the line voltage (V) and frequency (Hz) of your electrical cir-
cuit with the data on the model plate. These data must agree.
Fasten the receiver to a suitable location at least 2 m from the edge of
the pond. Use the supplied earth stake or mount the receiver using two
screws. Do not open the receiver housing to do this.
Insure that receiver is not exposed to direct sunlight, to maintain de-
pendable operation
Attach a pull rope through the round openings on the upper filter housing. With
this rope you can pull the pump out of the water as needed.
Make the necessary hose connections (if required), or install a fountain
attachment. After the installation, insure that there are no air bubbles in the
hose system (lay hose lines on an incline).
Install the pump horizontally on a fixed support at least 20 cm under the
water surface. Comply with the maximum permitted immersion depth
(see the information on the model plate).
Do not place the pump directly in the pond floor mud; place the pump
on a raised surface.
