4.2 Mains adapter

5. Setting up the power supply
5.1 Parent unit
1. Remove the belt clip 4 by sliding it
downwards.
2. Open the battery compartment by sliding
the cover 6 downwards.
3. Place both the batteries supplied with the
device inside the battery compartment.
Note: When inserting the batteries make
sure that the polarity (+/–) is correct. The
correct polarity is engraved inside the
battery compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment.
5. Reattach the belt clip 4.
6. Insert a mains adapter jack into the
connector socket 5.
7. Plug the mains adapter into a power
socket that conforms to the technical
data
(see
"4. Technical
page 12).
1. Position the baby unit 13 somewhere in
the nursery where your baby will not be
able to reach it.
Warning! For your child's safety:
make sure that the mains cable is
out of your baby's reach (risk of
strangulation).
Radio waves:
– During normal operation, the baby unit
interrupts transmission as soon as your
child is quiet. Both units then simply
carry out connection checks at regular
intervals.

start to charge. Charging the batteries

Note: As a very low current is used to
charge the batteries, the mains adapter
can remain constantly plugged in without
this damaging the batteries. As a result,
the parent unit 7 will be ready for mobile
use at any time.
