Removal

If a functional MiniCODER is to be removed for a modification, pay attention to the
following:
– Ensure the sensitive measuring surface does not come into contact with other
objects to prevent damage.
– Only touch the connector pins and wires if you are suitably earthed, for exam-
ple using an ESD wrist strap, to prevent damage to the electronic components
due to electrostatic discharge.
 GEL 2444K␣P␣␣␣␣␣␣␣:
If a testing and programming unit GEL 211 is available, reset the MiniCODER to
the factory settings.
 Switch off the power supply.
 Disconnect the connection.
 Uncover the connection cable.
 Insert the distance gauge in the air gap.
 Undo and remove the fastening screws for the MiniCODER.
Avoid impacts against the measuring surface by other objects.
 Take the MiniCODER out of the mounting.
 If the MiniCODER is to be used again, store it in the original packaging or an
equivalent container with protection.
