Battery and accumulator instructions
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not let batteries/rechargeable batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of batteries being
swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries may cause acid burns when coming into
contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects
or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids might be considerably damaged. Thus, store
batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Normal/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There
is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge standard, non-rechargeable batteries, danger of explosion!
• Always use non-rechargeable or rechargeable batteries of the same type.
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix batteries with different charges (e.g. fully charged and half-discharged non-re-
chargeable or rechargeable batteries).
• Always replace the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay at-
tention to plus/+ and minus/-).
Inserting/replacing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment on the bottom side by sliding the
cover of the battery compartment in the direction of the arrow.
• Insert two AA batteries with the correct polarity (pay attention to
plus/+ and minus/-). The alarm clock then outputs a beep and the
LED on the top flashes red.
If you wish to use rechargeable batteries please note
that, due to the lower output voltage (batteries = 1.5 V,
rechargeable batteries =1.2 V), the operating time will
decrease.
Therefore, we recommend that you use high-quality alkaline batteries to operate the
alarm clock in order to ensure long-lasting and reliable operation.
• Then, put the cover on so that it snaps in.
• The batteries need to be changed if a message indicating that the batteries are empty is dis-
played in the app.
Download app
Start the Apple AppStore and download the "BleAlarm" app.
The app is compatible with all Apple smartphones and tablets, which are equipped
with Bluetooth
4.0, for example, iPhone 4S or higher.
®
If you are using an iPad, you may switch to the AppStore to display the iPhone apps in
the search mode (top left display "iPhone only" instead of "iPad only"); otherwise, the
app is not found.
Pairing the alarm clock with your smartphone/tablet
Both devices must be paired with each other for the alarm clock to work with the app ("pairing" -
or coupling process in Bluetooth
).
®
Proceed as follows:
• Make sure that the Bluetooth
function is activated on your smartphone/tablet.
®
• Start the "BleAlarm" app.
• In the home screen of the app, no paired devices will be displayed when you start for the first
time. Touch the lower button to pair a new device. Then a message appears indicating that the
pairing button on the alarm clock should be pressed for 5 seconds.
Press the "PAIR" button on the bottom of the alarm clock for 5 seconds; a beep will be heard and
the LED on the top flashes rapidly in blue. The pairing procedure is activated.
There should be a new alarm clock in the app now; touch the corresponding button of the app so
that the pairing process is complete. The LED on the alarm clock now flashes 1x every 6 seconds
in blue.
The pairing must be done correctly; otherwise, the alarm clock cannot be used.
Up to 5 alarm clocks can be simultaneously controlled via the app.
Note that an alarm clock can be paired with only one smartphone/tablet. Therefore, it
is not possible to control an alarm clock using multiple smartphones/tablets.
• After completing the pairing process, the time, date and the available alarm and timer settings
are synced. In addition, the app displays the battery status of the alarm clock.

Operation

Renaming the alarm clock
Touch the name of the alarm clock in the app
(in the "Alarm Cube" default setting), so that
you can subsequently change it, if desired.
Displaying the battery status
The battery state of the alarm clock appears on a battery symbol in the main menu of the app:
> 60%
20% - 60%
< 20%
When the batteries are low (<20%), a warning message is also displayed in the app - replace the
batteries with new ones.
Setting the alarm time
Touch the corresponding button in the app to create a new alarm.
Set the desired alarm time. You may also specify the day of the week for the alarm, the alarm sound
and volume; even the name of the alarm can be set.
If no day is selected, the alarm clock sounds the alarm only once when the set time is
reached.
If the alarm is no longer needed, it can be temporarily disabled (turn off alarm). You can also com-
pletely delete the alarm.
Confirm the setting/selection in the top left so that the display of the app returns to the main menu.
The alarm clock has an internal clock and can be operated via the app independently
of the smartphone/tablet after setting.
