Wall mounting without
spacer brackets
Avoid direct wall mounting of the HD compact enclosure for the fol-
lowing reasons:
● For direct wall mounting, the small gap that occurs between the
housing rear wall and the installation surface cannot be cleaned
and so constitutes a hygiene risk.
● Under some circumstances, wall unevenness or joints between
the tiles impair a clean sealing between the HD compact enclo-
sure and the wall.
● Even in the sealed state, behind the HD compact enclosure there
is the danger of an uncontrolled growth of dangerous micro-
organisms.
If direct wall mounting cannot be avoided, ensure the presence
of a hygienic clean surface before beginning the installation. Seal
properly the gap using a temperature-, cleaning- and disinfection-
impervious material (e.g. silicone).

NOTE!
Regularly inspect this seal for damage, and rectify
any such damage.

HYGIENE RISK!
To prevent the accumulation of dangerous micro-
organisms, the following items must be considered
for the mounting of the HD compact enclosure:
● Hollows, dead spaces and gaps that cannot be seen and
cleaned must be prevented or sealed hygiene-conform.
● Ensure that the screws used are classified as being hygiene-
uncritical in accordance with the valid standards and regula-
tions.
HYGIENE RISK!
The housing surfaces have peak-to-valley height < 0.8 μm.
Damage to the surfaces favour the later formation of micro-
organism deposits during operation. Consequently, use
appropriate measures to protect the housing surfaces from being
damaged during transport, e.g. by packing in the original cardboard
packaging.
