This socket is intended for the red measuring probe for taking voltage
measurements up to a maximum of 600 Volt (CAT II), for taking
resistance measurements and for continuity tests. For this, set the
function switch (10) to the corresponding position.
Jaws Head (6)
This jaws head is intended when measuring AC and DC current.

Inserting and replacing the Battery

If the display shows the battery symbol (M)
Disconnect the unit from the circuitry and remove the measuring
cables. Switch off the unit by turning the function switch (10) in direction
OFF.
The unit is powered by two 1.5 V LR03 (AAA) batteries. For replacing,
unscrew the centre screw at the rear side of the unit and lift up the
battery compartment lid. Now you can insert resp. replace the battery.
Observe the correct polarity (See the symbols in the battery compart-
ment).

AC and DC Voltage Measuring

1. Connect the red probe to the "VΩ" input (13) and the black probe to
the COM input (5).
2. Slide the function switch (10) to the position "V ". The unit "V" will
be displayed and you hear a confirmation sound. Now the clamp
meter is in the auto range mode for DC voltage measurement. If
you want to change to the AC voltage measurement mode, before
undertaking measurements in the voltage mode, press the button
"AC/DC". On the top left corner on the display "AC" resp. "DC" is
displayed. Each pressing will be confirmed by a confirmation sound.
3. Now connect the probes to the circuitry resp. the component you
intend to measure. When measuring DC voltage, observe correct
polarity if possible (Red to Plus and Black to Minus).
4. Now the result can be read from the display. You will also see an
amplitude in the bar diagram (I) on the bottom of the display. If a
