Operation
The measuring category III is intended for taking measurements on
house installations. Examples are distribution boxes, circuit breakers,
wiring, terminal strips, connectors, switches, and wall sockets of the
fixed installations, but also for measurements on industrial devices and
equipment such as permanently installed motors.

Function Keys

Switching the unit On and Off
To switch on the unit, slide the function switch (10) to the desired
position (current measuring, voltage measuring, resistance measuring
or continuity test). To turn the unit off, slide the function key in direction
"OFF".
Before switching over, disconnect the measuring cables from the
measuring object.
The unit is equipped with "auto-power off" function. That means, after
pressing any key, 30 minutes later the unit will automatically switch off.
To bypass this function, press and keep the button "∆ZERO" (2)
pressed after switching on the unit.
Function Button (2) "∆ZERO"
With this function you can undertake the zero point setting. When
measuring, press this button and the difference of the stored value will
be displayed. With this function you can compare the difference of the
current and the previous measured value. After pressing the button the
reference value will be stored and the display will be reseted to "zero".
Thereafter the positive or negative difference of the measuring value
will be displayed.
When pressing the button twice, "∆ZERO" is flashing on the display and
the stored reference value can be read. Press and hold the "∆ZERO"
button for 2 seconds in order to switch off this function.
After pressing any key you will hear a confirmation sound.
When using this function, the "auto range" function cannot be used.
Function Button (3) "AC/DC"
Press the button to change between AC and DC current measuring
resp. AC and DC voltage measuring.
