 When interrupting work, never leave the unit
unattended and keep it in a safe place.
 Always switch the hedge trimmer off before
transporting it to other workplaces.
 Ensure that all guards and handles are fitted
before using the unit. Never attempt to switch
on an incompletely assembled unit or a unit which
has unauthorised modifications.
 Wait until the electric power tool has come
to a standstill before putting it down.

Charger

 Always check that the mains voltage corresponds
to the voltage indicated on the rating plate
of the charger.
 The charger connector must fit the socket.
Never modify the plug in any way.
Do not use adapter plugs with earthed electric
tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets
will reduce risk of electric shock.
 Use the charger in dry rooms only and avoid
contact with moisture and rain.
The ingress of water into the charger increases
the risk of an electric shock.
 Never use the charger if cable, plug or the unit
itself has been damaged by external influences.
Take the charger to the nearest service centre.
 Never open the charger. If the charger is defec-
tive, take it to a service centre.
 Do not place any objects on the charger and do
not stand it on soft surfaces. There is a risk of fire.
 Use only suitable WOLF-Garten chargers for
charging batteries.

Batteries

Use only original WOLF-Garten batteries
for your unit. Use of any other battery packs
may create a risk of injury and fire.
 If a battery is used incorrectly, liquid may leak
out of the battery. Avoid contact with the battery,
as it may irritate the skin and cause burns.
If you accidentally touch the battery, rinse the
affected areas carefully with water. If liquid gets
into the eyes, consult a doctor immediately.
 If the battery is damaged and used improperly,
fumes may be given off. Supply fresh air and
consult a doctor if you feel unwell.
The fumes may irritate the airways.
Risk of fire!
 Never charge the battery near acids or highly
flammable materials. There is a risk of fire.
16
Risk of explosion!
 Protect the battery from heat and fire.
 Do not expose the battery to strong sunlight
for a prolonged period.
Risk of short-circuit!
 When disposing of, transporting or storing
the battery, pack it in a plastic bag or box.
Alternatively mask the contacts.
 Do not open the battery.
 When storing the battery, keep it away from
metallic objects, such as paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws, etc. Otherwise, it may be short-
circuited.
Dispose of batteries in an environmentally
manner
Original manufacturer batteries are ideally
suited according to the current state-of-
the-art for supplying cordless electric
devices. Li-ion cells are harmful to the
environment if they are disposed of with
other household refuse.
Original manufacturer batteries are Li-ion
batteries and are therefore subject
to disposal regulations. Have defective
batteries disposed of by a specialist
company. Batteries must be taken out
of the unit before they are scrapped.

Disposal

 Do not throw hedge trimmers into the
household refuse. Have the unit, acces-
sories and packaging disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.

Intended use

 The hedge trimmer is designed exclusively
for cutting hedges and bushes which have
a maximum branch thickness of 18 mm.
Any other use is regarded as improper and you,
as the person responsible, will be liable for all
injuries to third parties and for damage to their
property.
 This hedge trimmer is designed for maintaining
hedges and bushes in the garden. Do not use the
hedge trimmer in public places, parks, sports
facilities, in the street, etc. or in agriculture
