- If the application requires instruments of category 1/2 or 2, the following list shows the
permissible ambient temperatures on the electronics depending on the temperature class:
Permissible operating pressure in the area of the sensor:
- If the application requires instruments of category 1 or 1/2:
- If the application requires instruments of category 2:
Vacuum ... 64 bar (please observe the nominal pressure of the process connection
elements)
The application conditions mentioned before are also valid for OPTISWITCH with locking
thread AVR60.CA3**, AVR60.CA4**
Permissible differing application conditions:
OPTISWITCH 5**0C VF10.C, VF15.C, VF11.C, VF16.C resp. OPTISWITCH 5**0C VF10.C, VF15.C,
VF11.C, VF16.C with locking thread AVR60.CA4** can also be used for applications requiring
instruments of category 1/2 acc. to the following conditions:
Temperature class
T4, T3, T2, T1
If OPTISWITCH is used as category 1/2 instrument and the aplication conditions on the sensor
deviate from them mentioned before, please make sure that the sensor (even in case of failure)
has no self-heating and that the safe operation (in respect to pressures/temperatures of the
materials) is subject to the customer's responsibility.
The permissible operating temperatures and pressures are mentioned in the appropriate
operating instructions.
