large self-adhesive tape (J).
- Bind the loose wiring together with the self-adhesive tape (I).
- Lead the wires from the sensors above each other on the inner side of the rear panel
so that they do not come into contact with the luggage compartment sill panel. Fix
them in place with the self-adhesive tape (I).
After completing the assembly re-fit all of the removed parts according to the

workshop manual. Connect the car battery and perform all operations related to the
disconnection and re-connection of the car battery. Test the function of the sensors.
Caution
Frost in the sensors can lead to an irregular false indication of an obstacle. Clean the
sensors (not with pressurized water).
If a special warning tone sounds immediately after the introductory tune one of the sensors
has been disconnected or damaged. The number of the faulty sensor is indicated by the
number of short beeps which will follow the warning tone:
1 beep corner sensor No. 1 (PIN 11, 23)
2 beeps central sensor No. 2 (PIN 9, 21)
3 beeps central sensor No. 3 (PIN 10, 22)
4 beeps corner sensor No. 4 (PIN 12, 24)
Spare sensors can be ordered under order numbers:
BEA 700 001 01 – central sensors
BEA 700 001 02 – corner sensors
Warning
The ability of the system to detect obstacles depends on their material and shape!
The acoustic signal during reversing does not exempt the driver from their
responsibility for any damage caused when parking the vehicle or during similar
maneuvers.
Therefore, before reversing make sure that there is no smaller size obstacle behind
the vehicle (e.g. a stone, a thin pillar, a tow bar etc.). Such obstacles may be located
beyond the sensor's range.
Note
The park distance control is equipped with analogue input so it can be deactivated when a
trailer is attached. Towing devices fitted from basic industry or genuine Škoda accessories
are not equipped with analogue input therefore it will not be possible to deactivate the
park distance control when a trailer is attached.
