6.4 Connecting the power supply

Warning
• Only connect the product to a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket
must be installed close to the product and easily accessible.
• Do not continue to operate the device if it becomes visibly damaged. (This is mandatory for
all products with 220 V mains connections.)
Note
• The power supply unit is suitable for mains voltages of 100–240 V and therefore can be
used worldwide. Please note that a country-specific adapter may be necessary.
• You can find a selection of compatible Hama products at www.hama.com.
• Connect the enclosed power supply unit to a properly installed socket.
• Then connect the lead of the power supply unit to the DC In of the device.

7. Operation

• Insert the data storage device into the corresponding slot.
Note
• Make sure that the data storage device and the formats of the files on it are supported by
the device.
• Remember that this device does not support cross-folder playback of files. Do not create
directories on the storage device. Save all files in a single directory.
• Press the button on the device or on the remote control to turn the device on or off.
• The Hama logo will appear for a few seconds while the device is starting up. Then the main
menu will be displayed.
• Depending on configuration, image, audio or video playback will commence.
• To switch to the main menu now, repeatedly press EXIT on the remote control or MENU / EXIT
on the control panel of the device.
