- L'utilisation de minuteurs et des appareils y étant
connectés dans les écoles, les centres de formation
professionnelle ou les ateliers pour handicapés ou de
personnes privées, doit être surveillée de façon res-
ponsable par du personnel qualifié.
- N'allumez jamais le minuteur tout de suite quand il
vient d'être mis d'une pièce froide dans une pièce
chaude. L'eau de condensation qui en résulte pour-
rait, dans des conditions défavorables, détruire l'ap-
pareil. Laissez donc l'appareil débranché prendre la
température ambiante avant de le mettre en marche.
- Assurez-vous avant chaque mise en service que votre
minuteur est en bon état.
- Protégez toujours le minuteur avant, pendant et après
chaque utilisation contre l'humidité directe ou des
vapeurs condensantes.
- Le boîtier du minuteur ne doit jamais entrer en
contact avec des objets très chauds (plaques de four-
neau, fers à souder, appareils à air chaud, etc.).
- S'il est probable qu'une utilisation sans danger n'est
plus possible, l'appareil doit être mis hors service et
protégé contre toute utilisation involontaire.

Press the "MODUS" key (red) until RND appears on the
bottom line of the display. The built-in random-check
generator will then randomly switch on a connected
appliance (floor lamp, TV, stereo equipment) at differ-
ent times and switch them off after an uncertain time.
While you are absent (vacation, work, shopping), this
will e.g., make burglars believe that your are still at
home.
The random function will be active until you press the
"MODUS" key again. The programs are not affected by
the random function.
B Connection
After you have set the time/programmed the timer,
connect the Timer Switch to an earthed socket outlet.
Connect the switched-off appliance (for this purpose
observe the Proper Use in the beginning of the manu-
al!). The appliance must be switched off because if you
connect a switched-on appliance to the mains supply
(timer output on), sparks may be produced which can
damage the socket outlet of the timer or the earthed
plug of the appliance.
