If possible, do not open the oven door while the food
is cooking.
There are exceptions for particular recipes, e.g. during
menu cooking or when the Á indicator for filling the
water container appears.
Open the oven door carefully. Steam will escape. The
cooking time stops.
Proceed as is specified in the recipe/fill the water
container and replace it. Close the oven door. Once
the set temperature is reached again, the cooking
time continues to count down.
It is normal for steam to escape now and then during
cooking.
The oven needs the last three minutes of the cooking
time for the steam to escape through the air vent
above the door.
The tables contain a selection of dishes which are
particularly suitable for your steam oven. In this
section you will learn which accessories to use and
the optimum cooking times.
Always insert the wire rack in the steam oven and
place the accessories or suitable ovenware on top.
The collection tray used with the perforated cooking
tray is adequate for most dishes. You may also use
glass or porcelain bowls. Place the bowl directly on
the wire rack.
Food which would normally be prepared in a
bain marie should always be covered.
Always distribute the food evenly in the ovenware or
accessories. The food will not cook evenly if the layers
are different heights.
