POWER SUPPLY

Your MeteoClock® SM940 works with 2 AA batteries for the main unit and 2 AAA for the remote sensor
(all not included).
LOW BATTERY INDICATION: If the batteries of the remote sensor are low, the following indicator
will be displayed on the main unit. When the main unit's LCD display becomes dim, it indicates that the
batteries are low and need to be changed.
Note: if the sensor is exposed to very low temperatures for an extended period of time, the batteries may lose
power which may cause the transmission range to be limited. High temperatures also reduce the battery
performance.

GETTING STARTED

The SM940 comes with one main unit and one remote sensor. If you have not purchased additional sensors,
you do not need to set the remote sensor. Proceed to the next section. If you wish to set your main unit to
more than one sensor or experience interference during the settings, please refer to section 'Multiple sensor
use'.
Setting the MeteoClock® SM940 to one sensor only
1. Use a screwdriver to open the battery door located at the back of the remote sensor unit. Insert 2 AAA
batteries according to the polarity. Close back the battery compartment, and tighten the screw.
2. Use your finger to lift the battery door located at the back of the main unit. Insert 2 AA batteries according
to the polarity. Close back the battery compartment. Before using this product for
the first time, remove the static label from the LCD screen.
3. Once RCC signal has been received (
stops blinking and remains solid),
the main unit will display the outdoor temperature and humidity data transmitted
from the sensor. You are now ready to use your new weather station.
Note: this step will take several minutes.
4. If the main unit does not display the outdoor temperature and humidity display
several minutes after having inserted the batteries in both the remote sensor and
the main unit, there might be interference in your neighbourhood. Please read the
following steps.
Interference
The house code is the frequency signal sent by the remote sensor to the receiver.
If your weather station detects other signals from neighbouring sources, you need to
set the remote sensor to a different house code (default setting = 1).
