12. Instruments and effects

a) Select instrument („VOICE")
The digital piano provides a total of 210 different instruments.
When the digital piano is switched on, instrument „001" („GrdPiano" =
„Grand Piano") is selected. In the top left-hand corner of the display,
the instrument mode „VOICE R1" is displayed.
See the appendix for a list of all instruments.
To select an instrument, proceed as follows:
• Press the „VOICE" button.
• Use the control wheel or the „+" and „-" buttons next to it to select an
instrument.
• Some standard instruments are preset for the direct selection buttons.
Press this button once or twice to select the upper or the lower
instrument (see description above or below the button).
• Now you can play on the keyboard of the digital piano using the
selected instrument.
b) Dual sound effect („DUAL VOICE"), „DUAL" button
This function allows you to play two instruments at the same time when
pressing a key, e.g. piano and drums.
Please note that this only applies to the right section of the
keyboard. See chapter 12. c), Split function.
• First select instrument 1, e.g. „001 GrdPiano", if you have not already
done so. (See chapter 12. a)
• Press the „DUAL" button. The „DUAL" symbol is displayed in the top
right-hand corner.
„VOICE R2" is displayed in the top left-hand corner. The preset
instrument „050 Strings 2" is displayed.
The digital piano now plays instruments „001" and „050"
simultaneously.
• If desired, you can use the control wheel or the „+" and „-" buttons
next to it to select the second instrument.
• Press the „DUAL" button again to disable the dual sound effect.
