A FEW STEPS TO PERFECT PREPARATION
PREPARATION OF BROWN RICE
1. Wash the brown rice. You can use the pot for that.
To make Brown Rice more flavorful, soak it in water for at least one hour before cooking.
2. Fill the inner pot with the recommended amount of water. Make sure that the inner pot has not
gotten wet on the outside. Wipe it dry with a cloth. Put the inner pot in the device.
3. Close the lid so that it clicks into place.
4. Start the cooking process by pressing the BROWN RICE button. The control light lights up red
and a beep will sound. The cooking process starts.
5. When the rice is ready, the appliance stops cooking. The indicator light flashes red for approx. 10
minutes and the appliance then switches to the warming mode.
6. Do not disconnect the power plug in WARM mode. First switch off the device with the OFF key. At
the bottom of the inner pot may form a slight baking layer.
Otherwise, it may develop odors, turn yellowish in color, or dry out. Risotto can not be kept warm as
it tends to get sticky. (Also, do NOT use WARM warming mode for mixed rice, brown rice, sweet rice
or sprouted brown rice, as these may spoil or develop odors.)
7. Carefully open the lid and stir the rice with the included rice bowl. Use the included rice spoon to
avoid scratching the inner pot. Do not use sharp or pointed objects to remove the rice from the pot.
8. Remove the hot rice pot with the help of potholders.
9. Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet and the connector from the receptacle
There may be a slight browning on the bottom of the inner pot in some rice varieties.
This is completely normal and can not be prevented due to the functioning of the
device!
