Warning
Safety equipment for preventing hazards
must be serviced and maintained regularly.
This means that the manufacturer's staff or
persons trained by the manufacturer must
check the equipment for proper functioning
at least once a year, i.e. check for leaks, fil-
ter damage, functioning of the controlling
elements, etc.
No outside help is required for carrying
out basic maintenance and cleaning.
The appliance surface and the inside of
the container should be cleaned regu-
larly using a damp cloth.
Danger
Risk due to dust hazardous to health. Al-
ways use disposal clothing and P2 or higher
breath-safe masks while carrying out main-
tenance tasks (such as changing filters).
Change cartridge filter
 Release the container locks on both
sides by pulling them upwards.
 Remove the suction head with handle
and keep it on the rear side.
 Unscrew domed cap nut and lift off
earth cable with both serrated lock
washers.
 Unscrew the knurled-head screw, pull
out the cartridge filters and replace with
new ones.
 Thread on serrated washer on grub
screw.
 Attach earth cable lug.
 Thread on second serrated lock wash-
er.
 Screw on domed cap nut and tighten.
 Attach the suction head to the container
and lock it with the container locks.
Note: Ensure proper seating of the suction
head (fixation), the On/Off switch must be
located in the back.
 Dispose of the used filter element in a
dust-tight bag according to the statutory
provisions.
 Remove the dirt that has accumulated
on the pure air side.

The device is fitted with a paper filter
bag with locking slide, order no. 6.904-
285.0 (5 pcs).
If the paper filter bag is full and the min-
imum volume flow is fallen short of it
has to be replaced.

Troubleshooting

Danger
First pull out the plug from the mains before
carrying out any tasks on the machine.
Warning
All checking and work on electrical parts
must be performed by an authorized elec-
trician. In the event of continuing faults,
contact Kärcher customer service.
Suction turbine does not run
 Check the receptacle and the fuse of
the power supply.
 Check the power cable and the power
plug of the device.
 Turn on the appliance.
Suction capacity decreases
 Remove choking of suction nozzle, suc-
tion tube, suction hose, or cartridge filter.
 Clean the accessories.
 Replace the filter bag.
 Change cartridge filter.
Dust comes out while vacuuming
 Check whether the cartridge filters are
seated correctly.
 Change cartridge filter.
Filter status display lights up
 Replace the filter bag.
 Change cartridge filter.
At the end of its lifetime the appliance is to
be disposed of according to the statutory
provisions.
