ing memory effect, NiMH storage batteries do not require a dis-
charge before charging them. The discharge degree is indicated by
a red LED (light-emitting diode, continuous illumination).

a) Connection, Commissioning, Charging
Connect the injection-moulded mains connector of the charger to
the 230V mains (in Germany: shockproof socket). Insert the storage
batteries to be charged (two on top of each other) into the respec-
tive charging compartments with correct polarity ("+" of the cell to
the positive contact, "-" of the cell to the negative contact). If the
storage batteries are in right contact and are not defective, the
respective red LED lights (charging starts).
Attention!
Please make sure that the charger is sufficiently aired and that
it is in horizontal working position. Do not cover the top or the
bottom of the charger. Otherwise, the charger might be dam-
aged by heat accumulation.
In case of inappropriate handling (polarity inversion), the stor-
age battery might be overcharged or destroyed. In the worst
case, the storage battery might explode and cause consider-
able damage.
b) Charging time depending on storage battery capacity
Depending on nominal capacity (normally indicated on the storage
batteries) and residual charge, a charge lasts between approx. 5
hours with 600 mAh storage batteries and a maximum of 16 hours
with 1500 mAh storage batteries (see following table).

Présentation
Ce chargeur est conçu pour la recharge standard (pas de charge
accélérée) de jusqu'à 4 accus R6. Une décharge des accus NiCd
permettant d'éviter l'effet mémoire (perte de la capacité de charge)
n'est pas possible. Il est cependant conseillé de décharger complè-
tement les accus NiCd avant de les recharger. Ceci n'est pas
nécessaire avec les accus
mémoire. L'état de charge est indiqué par un voyant LED rouge
(diode luminescente allumée en permanence).

Branchez la fiche du cordon d'alimentation du chargeur au secteur
230V à une prise de courant normée. Placez les accus à charger
(par deux l'un au dessus de l'autre) dans le/les compartiment/s à
accus en faisant attention à la polarité ("+" sur l'accu sur le contact
positif et "-" sur l'accu sur le contact négatif). Si les accus ont un
bon contact et qu'ils ne sont pas défectueux, le voyant LED rouge
correspondant s'allume (la recharge commence).
Attention !
Il faut absolument faire attention à ce que la circulation d'air
soit suffisante autour de l'appareil qui ne doit être utilisé qu'en
position horizontale. Ne couvrez jamais le dessus ni le dessous
de l'appareil pour éviter un endommagement éventuel par
accumulation de chaleur.
En cas de maniement inadéquat (mauvaise polarité), il y a
risque de surcharge de l'accu et en conséquence de sa des-
truction. En cas extrême, il est possible que l'accu explose et
cause des dommages considérables.
