26. This appliance should not be operated on an external timer or a
separate remote control system.
27. RISK OF INJURY! Disconnect the appliance from the mains circuit
before cleaning the appliance, when not in use or left unsupervised, du-
ring a thunderstorm, if the appliance has a malfunction or defect, or if
there is a risk of danger due to the power supply, because the appliance
will still receive electric power until the plug is removed from the socket.
28. RISK OF INJURY! Unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Clean
the appliance very carefully.
29. Ensure that the ON/OFFswitch
when the appliance is unplugged and the kettle is on the base
station ⑦ . This prevents the appliance from heating without
supervision when the plug is plugged into the socket.

is open, the automatic switch-off will not work. This may cause
boiling water to splash over the top of the kettle.

stable before switching it on. Boiling water can cause an unstable
appliance to tip over.

appliance above the "MAX" mark on the water gauge
otherwise boiling water could splash out of the appliance!
38. RISK OF BURNING! Do not tip the appliance backwards as this
may cause hot water to come out of the bottom of the appliance.
39. Move the appliance with the greatest of care when it still contains
