- Taster S2 zur Kanalwahl drücken
- zu löschenden Schalter/Befehlsgerät betätigen -> die dem Kanal
entsprechende LED erlischt kurz
- Taster S1 für 5 s drücken -> LED MD blinkt schnell (5 Hz),

Destination and use
The four channel radio receiver is used to switch electrical loads via
radio transmission. The transmission is carried out at a frequency of
868.3 MHz. The transmitters must conform to the EnOcean protocol
of the PTM- and STM-modules. The output of the receiver can be
switched by a maximum of 10 transmitters per channel. Therefore
each transmitter must be taught in once.
Mounting/Wiring
Only suitable antennas must be used. Antenna with 2.5 m cable and
SMA plug-in connector, part No. 1186143. The antenna should be
mounted on a metal plate of 250 x 250 mm minimum size as an HF
counterweight. The sideways distance to the next adjacent wall or
source of disturbance should be at least 300 mm. The antenna cable
must not be bent or clamped, minimum bending radius >15 mm. The
sensing range accordingly depends on the local conditions. Thus the
radio signal can be strongly affected by conductive materials. This also
includes thin foils, e.g. aluminium laminations on insulation materials.
Typical sensing ranges are:
Sight connection outside: approx. 300 m
Sight connection in walkways: approx. 30 m
Sight connection in halls: approx. 100 m
Steel concrete walls: approx. 10 m through 1 wall
Brick walls: approx. 20 m through max. 3 walls
Notices
The processing of one switching command from transmitter to re-
ceiver lasts approx. 80 to 100 ms on basis of the EnOcean data trans-
mission. The switching signal of a transmitter must not be generated
in shorter time sequences otherwise this signal will be suppressed.
The devices can be operated registration- and license-free on the
territory of the EC, Switzerland, Cyprus and Slovenia. The use in other
countries must be explicitely clarified! The electrical connection may
only be carried out by authorised personnel. The radio receiver must
not be used in connection with devices that may directly or indirectly
serve health- or life-saving purposes or cause hazards by operation to
human beings, animals or asset values. The declaration of conformity
is available on request or can be downloaded from our website. Sub-
ject to technical modifications. The described products have been de-
veloped in order to assume safety functions as part of an entire plant
or machine. The responsibility taken by the manufacturer of a plant or
machine implies a safeguarding of correct general function. Moreover
steute does not assume any liability for recommendations made or
implied by this description. From this description new claims for guar-
antee, warranty or liability cannot be derived beyond the general terms
and conditions of delivery.
Maintenance
With careful mounting as described above, only minor maintenance is
necessary. We recommend regular maintenance in the following steps:
1. Check switching function
2. Remove dirt
Setting-up operation/Selection of operation mode
Preconditions
- Device is mounted on DIN rail
- Conductors for 24 VAC/DC voltage supply are connected
- A maximum of 10 transmitters per channel can be taught in parallel.
- Therefore the LEDs indicate the operation modes. After providing the
operating voltage to the receiver the orange LED 1 flashes when no
switch has been taught in. If the orange LED 1 is off, switches have
already been taught in.
Selection of operation mode
There are six different operation modes that can be selected after
switch-on.
1. keep push-button S1 pressed while switching on the receiver.
The desired operating mode is confirmed by quick pressing of the
push-button S1 again, (approx. 1 s). LED display see table. If you
do not press the push-button S1 again the next operation mode is
switched on after 5 s.
2. The operation modes »Conjunction« and »Latching function« can be
selected in addition to the other operation modes.
