Once you have carried out the firmware update, you can distribute this new
firmware version from this telephone to all the other system telephones of
the same model (COMfortel 1100 and COMfortel 1500) connected to the
PBX.
Note: If system telephones of another model (COMfortel 2500/2500 AB)
are present, an additional manual firmware update is necessary.
In order to use new features after a firmware update, you usually need a
new version of the COMfortel Set configuration software as well as a new
version of the operating manual. This is available per download from the
support
www.auerswald.de).
In order to use the new features after a firmware update of the telephone,
an update of the PBX firmware is often necessary (see PBX manual).

Distributing Firmware

Note: If system telephones of various models are present, this distribution
process is necessary for each model separately.
Requirements
– Existing new firmware version on the distributing system telephone
Steps to Take
1.
Press the menu key (key to the left under the display).

Use the
firmware and press the

Firmware version 4.4E or higher for COMmander 6000/R/RX.
The firmware update is performed. After this, a message appears in the
display indicating whether the update was successful.

The firmware is distributed. During the distribution process, Server
Mode is displayed on the display panel of the distributing system
telephone. It is not possible to use the system telephone during this
process.
