Commissioning

This section describes how to commission the telephone. Once you have finished
commissioning the equipment, you will be able to use the telephone immediately. You can
easily customize your telephone using the computer configuration described at the end of
this section.

Commissioning the Telephone

Requirements
– PBX, switched on (connected to 230 V mains)
– The internal telephone number for the system telephone entered in the con-
figuration (COMset) on the internal S
Note: Only connect one ISDN device for each internal subscriber
telephone number to your PBX.
– For the operation with PBX COMpact 3000: Telephone with firmware
version 4.0B or higher
– For the operation with PBX COMmander 6000/R/RX: Telephone with
firmware version 4.4E or higher
– The PBX with at least the following firmware version:
Note: If you have devices with older versions, carry out the corresponding
device updates (see PBX manual).
Important: If a system telephone operated on an older model PBX is
connected to a COMpact 3000, COMpact 5010/5020 VoIP, a COMmander
Basic.2/Business or a COMmander 6000/R/RX (or vice versa), parts of the
configuration will be irrevocably deleted during commissioning.
Steps to Take

Insert the plug of the ISDN cable included in the package, as shown in
Fig.

Basic.2 and COMmander Business)
2.2A or higher (COMpact 2204 USB, COMpact 2206 USB, COMpact

Therefore be sure to save any important data before commissioning.
During commissioning, a message appears on the display asking
whether a PBX system change should be carried out. Press the
softkey (key next to the display).
