3. Open the lid and pour in the waffle mix.
4. The heating plates have a non-stick layer, which means that you do not have to brush
any fat on them for normal use. If you want to use fat, use butter or margarine – not oil!
5. Close the lid. It takes about 4–7 minutes to make a waffle (depending on what is in the
mix and the amount of mix you are using and the set temperature).
6. Remove the waffle with a spatula made of wood or heat-resistant plastic. Do not use
any sharp utensils , they may damage the surface!
7. The green indicator light comes on when the set temperature is reached, turns off
when the temperature drops and turns back on when the temperature is raised.
8. If you want to make more waffles, close the lid between each one to keep the heat.
9. Switch off the waffle iron by pulling the plug out of the socket after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Pull the plug out of the socket and let the waffle iron cool down before cleaning.
• Do not let any mix on the waffle iron dry hard. Clean the waffle iron as soon as
possible after use.
• Clean the inside with a damp cloth or a soft dish brush with a mild detergent. Wipe the
outside with a damp cloth.
• Do not use steel wool, a metal brush or other hard objects that might scratch the
non-stick layer.
