a) Turning on/off / selecting the measuring function

• The product is turned off when the rotary switch (3) is in the
OFF position (see figure 2). Turn off the product after you
have finished using it.
• Select the individual measuring functions using the rotary
switch. The range is selected automatically for some
measuring functions. This means that the appropriate
measurement range will be chosen.

Important! Ensure that you have selected the correct measuring function before each
measurement.

b) Measuring current "A"

The current is measured wirelessly via the current clamp (1). The sensors in the current clamp
detect the magnetic field that is surrounded by current-carrying conductors.
Ensure that the conductor always passes through the centre of the current clamp (pay
attention to the arrow marks) and that the clamp is always closed.
Only ever surround one conductor with the current clamp.
Measuring alternating currents (A
1. Turn on the product using the rotary switch (3) and select the 2A
measurement range. The product is in the AC measurement range and < AC > and < A >
appears on the LCD display.
2. The display is automatically set to zero when the current clamp is closed and in the
alternating current measurement range.
3. Press the clamp opening lever (11) to open the current clamp. Surround the conductor that
you wish to measure and close the current clamp. Position the conductor in the middle
between the two triangular symbols on the clamp.
4. The measured current is shown on the LCD display. You will hear a beep sound if the
measuring range is exceeded (100 A).
5. After completing the measurement, remove the current clamp from the measured object
and turn off the device.
