Digital Still Camera Mode : Advanced Techniques
Setting the Focus Modes
✤ Choose a focus mode to suit your subject and composition. Auto
focusing, Continuous Auto focusing, Manual focusing, and Macro
modes are available.
✤ Focus will be automatically set near the centre of the frame.
[ Note ]
Focus is set when you push the PHOTO button halfway down. Focus is set
on the subject located nearest the centre of the frame. To provide sharper,
clearer images, SPOT metering and MULTI metering function are available.
See page 115 for further details on Metering Modes.
Auto Focus Mode
✤ Use this focus mode in most image taking conditions to obtain the best
results. Set the Power switch to
sets the focus mode to Auto Focus.
Manual Focus Mode
✤ Manual Focus function works in
A,
(Movie), MySET and SCENE (NIGHT) modes.
✤ Allows the user to adjust the focus manually.
✤ When Manual Focus mode is set, [MF] is displayed.
1. Set the Power switch to
(CAMERA).
2. Set the Mode Dial to
(Programme), M, S, A,
(Movie), MySET or SCENE (NIGHT).

For SCENE mode, it only works in NIGHT
mode.
3. Press the MF/AF button until [MF] icon is displayed.

[MF] icon will be displayed with a focus bar.
4. To adjust the focus, move the Quick menu selector up
or down.

Selected focus distance is displayed.
5. Press the PHOTO button to take the photo.
6. To return to Auto Focus Mode, press the MF/AF button
until the [MF] icon disappears.
[ Note ]
Manual Focus is not available when the distance is less than 30cm (0.9 ft)
in TELE mode.

Fokus-Modi einstellen
✤ Wählen Sie einen für das Motiv und die Bildkomposition geeigneten Fokus-Modus
aus. Zur Verfügung stehen die Modi Auto focusing (Autofokusierung), Continuous
Auto focusing (Automatische Schärfenachführung), Manual focusing (Manuelle
Fokussierung) und Macro (Makro).
✤ Der Fokus wird automatisch auf die Mitte des Bildausschnittes eingestellt.
[ Hinweis ]
Die Fokussierung erfolgt, wenn die Taste PHOTO halb heruntergedrückt wird.
Der Fokus wird dann auf das Motiv eingestellt, das in der Bildmitte liegt. Zur
Belichtungsmessung stehen die Funktionen SPOT (Spotmessung) und MULTI
(Mehrpunktmessung) zur Verfügung.

Autofokus-Modus
✤ Dieser Fokus-Modus führt in den meisten Aufnahmesituationen zu den besten
Ergebnissen. Wenn der Betriebsmodusschalter auf
automatisch Auto Focus als Fokus-Modus eingestellt.
Manueller Fokus-Modus
✤ Der manuelle Fokus kann in den Modi
S, A,
(Film), MySET und SCENE (NIGHT) (NACHT)
verwendet werden.
✤ Die Bildschärfe lässt sich dann manuell einstellen.
✤ Wenn der manuelle Fokus aktiviert ist, wird [MF]
angezeigt.
1. Stellen Sie den Betriebsmodusschalter auf
(Aufnahme).
2. Stellen Sie den Moduswahlschalter auf

[ Hinweis ]
Beträgt der Abstand zum Objekt im Modus TELE weniger als 30 cm, ist der
manuelle Fokus nicht verfügbar.
