Wet Vacuuming
 Do not vacuum inflammable or explosive fluids; for ex-
ample, benzene, oil, alcohol, solvents. Do not vacuum
hot or burning dust. Do not operate the machine in
rooms where the danger of an explosion exists. The
dusts, vapours or fluids can ignite or explode.
– Empty the container 1 before carrying out wet extraction
work.
– Clean the filter 27 (see "Cleaning/replacing filters",
page 16).
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a float. Vacuuming is
stopped when the maximum filling level is reached.
– Empty the container 1.
To prevent the formation of mould after wet vacuuming:
– Remove the vacuum lid 5 and leave it to dry thoroughly.
– Remove the filter 27 and leave this to dry thoroughly as
well (see "Cleaning/replacing filters", page 16).

Maintenance and Cleaning
 Remove the battery before cleaning or performing
maintenance on the vacuum cleaner, making tool ad-
justments, changing accessories or storing the vacuum
cleaner. This safety measure prevents the vacuum cleaner
from being started accidentally.
 For safe and proper working, always keep the vacuum
cleaner and ventilation slots clean.
For maintenance on behalf of the user, the vacuum cleaner
must be disassembled, cleaned and maintained as far as fea-
sible, without causing a risk for the maintenance personnel or
other persons. Prior to disassembly, the vacuum cleaner
should be cleaned in order to prevent any risks. The room/en-
closure in which the vacuum cleaner is disassembled should
be well ventilated. Wear personal protective equipment dur-
ing maintenance. After the maintenance, the maintenance ar-
ea should be cleaned.
A dust-technical inspection is to be carried out at least once
every year by the manufacturer or an instructed person, e. g.
for damage of the filter, tightness against leakage of the vacu-
um cleaner and function of the control/monitoring unit.
For category L vacuum cleaners that were in contaminated
environments, the exterior as well as all machine parts should
be cleaned or treated with sealants. When performing mainte-
nance and repair work, all contaminated components that
cannot be cleaned to satisfactory must be disposed of. Such
components must be disposed of in impermeable plastic bags
conforming with the valid regulations for the disposal of such
waste.
– Clean the vacuum cleaner housing from time to time using
a moist cloth.
– Clean soiled charger contacts using a dry cloth.
Cleaning the container (see figures F1 – F2)
Clean the container 1 after each use in order to ensure that
the vacuum cleaner continues to perform optimally.
– Unlock the latches 2 and remove the vacuum lid 5.

– Shake out the container 1 over a suitable waste bin.
– If necessary, clean the container with a damp cloth.
If necessary, clean the filter (see "Cleaning/replacing fil-
ters", page 16).
– Reattach the vacuum lid 5 again and lock the latches 2.
Cleaning/replacing filters (see figures G1–G2)
Replace any damaged filters immediately.
– Unlock the latches 2 and remove the vacuum lid 5.
– Turn the filter 27 as far as it will go in the direction of rota-
tion " " and remove it from the filter bracket 28.
– If the filter is dry:
Tap the filter 27 on the side of a suitable waste bin. When
doing so, ensure that you do not damage the flaps of the fil-
ter.
Brush down the flaps of the filter with a soft brush.
or
If the filter is wet:
Rinse the filter 27 under running water and then leave it to
dry thoroughly.
or
Replace a damaged filter.
– Insert the filter 27 into the filter bracket 28 and turn it as
far as it will go in the direction of rotation "
– Reattach the vacuum lid 5 again and lock the latches 2.
Make sure that the catches engage firmly.
Malfunctions
In the case of insufficient vacuuming performance, check the
following:
– Is the container 1 full?
▷ See "Cleaning the container", page 16.
– Is the filter 27 clogged with dust?
▷ See "Cleaning/replacing filters", page 16.
– Is the capacity of the battery pack too low?
▷ See "Battery Charging", page 14.
Regularly emptying the dust container 1 and cleaning the fil-
ter 27 will ensure optimum suction power.
If the vacuuming performance is not achieved thereafter, take
the vacuum cleaner to customer service.
Storage (see figure H)
– Insert the vacuum tubes 18 into the holders 22.
– Insert the crevice nozzle 16 into a suction tube 18.
– Insert the floor nozzle 17 into the holder 23.
– Wind the vacuum hose 13 around the bracket 23 from be-
low and fasten the strap 29.
– Carry the vacuum cleaner only by the carrying handle 6.
– Store the vacuum cleaner in a dry room and secure it
against unauthorised use.
