Kurzbeschreibung
Diese CD beinhaltet:
• ladbare Software*
• den Systemkonfigurator SyCon**
• den Hilscher-IP-Treiber
• die GSD-/EDS-Dateien
• die Dokumentation
für unsere PKV 40 und PKV 50 Ethernet Gateways.
Die Geräte PKV 40 und PKV 50 sind Gateways und
stellen eine Verbindung zwischen Ethernet und Feldbus
bzw. Modbus Plus her. Die Anbindung an Ethernet und
die Gateway-Funktion werden auf Basis von Windows
CE-Programmen ausgeführt. Die Anbindung an den
Feldbus bzw. Modbus Plus erfolgt mit einem Kommuni-
kationsmodul (bzw. entsprechenden Komponenten)
über ein geräteinternes Dual-Port-Memory.
Der Zugriff über Ethernet auf die Prozessdaten erfolgt
standardmäßig über Open Modbus/TCP, wobei die PKV
40 bzw. PKV 50 als Open Modbus/TCP Server arbei-
ten. Die Gateway-Funktion wird durch die jeweils gela-
dene Software festgelegt.
Die Konfiguration und Inbetriebnahme erfolgt durch den
Systemkonfigurator SyCon. Dieser kommuniziert mit
dem Gateway über TCP/IP oder über eine serielle Ver-
bindung zwischen dem COM-Port des PCs und der
Diagnoseschnittstelle des Gateways. Die Konfiguration
wird auf dem Feldbus-Kommunikationsmodul gespei-
chert, sodass dieses beim Starten sofort betriebsbereit
ist.

** Zum Betrieb des Systemkonfigurators benötigen Sie
einen Lizenzcode. Wenn dieser im Lieferumfang mit
enthalten ist, finden Sie ihn für den Systemkonfigura-
tor als Label auf dieser CD oder in einem Briefum-
schlag ein Lizenzcodeanforderungsformular. Andern-
falls wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Distributor oder
direkt an uns.
Description
This CD contains:

The devices PKV 40 and PKV 40 are Gateways and
establish a connection between Ethernet and a fieldbus
respectively Modbus Plus. The connection to Ethernet is

performed by Windows
to a fieldbus respectively Modbus Plus handles a com-
munication module (respectively corresponding compo-
nents) via a device internal dual-port memory.
The access via Ethernet to the process data is done by
default via Open Modbus/TCP. The devices PKV 40 and
PKV 50 work as Open Modbus/TCP server in this case.
The gateway function is determined by the loaded firm-
ware.
The configuration and setup is proceeded by use of the
System Configurator SyCon. It communicates to the
gateway via TCP/IP or via a serial connection between
the COM port of the PC and the diagnostic interface of
the gateway. The configuration is stored on the fieldbus
communication module, therefore it is immediately
ready after the start.

** A license code is required to use the System Con-
figurator. If this is included in the scope of delivery
you will find it for the System Configurator on a label
on this CD or in an envelope a license code request
form. Otherwise please contact your distributor or us
directly.
