Die Modbus-Plus-Gateways benötigen nur wenige
Einstellungen.
Diese werden im Konfigurationsdialog eingestellt und
anschließend mit Online > Download auf das Gateway
übertragen.
Fehlersuche
Ethernet-TCP/IP-Schnittstelle
• Überprüfen Sie die Netzwerkeinstellungen Ihres PCs.
• Mit dem Ping-Befehl in der Eingabeaufforderung
Ihres Betriebssystem können Sie leicht prüfen, ob
eine Verbindung über TCP/IP zu dem Gateway mög-
lich ist. Öffnen Sie dazu eine Eingabeaufforderung
Ihres Betriebssystems, tippen Sie ping 192.168.0.160
ein (die IP-Adresse muss der eingestellten Adresse
des Gateways entsprechen) und drücken Sie die
Return-Taste. Besteht eine Verbindung, wird dies
durch den Text Antwort von 192.168.0.160 ...
bestätigt. Ansonsten wird eine Zeitüberschreitung
angezeigt.
Kabel
• Prüfen Sie, ob die Pinbelegung der verwendeten
Kabel richtig ist.
Diagnose mit dem Systemkonfigurator
• Prüfen Sie bei Feldbus-Master-Gateways mit Online
> Live List, welche Slaves/Knoten am Bus vorhanden
sind.
• Prüfen Sie bei Feldbus-Master-Gateways mit Online
> Debugmodus starten, zu welchen Slaves/Knoten
ein Nutzdatenaustausch stattfindet (grün dargestellte
Linie zum Symbol des Slave/Knoten).
• Zeigen Sie mit Online > Gerätediagnose die Diagno-
seinformation des Slave/Knoten an.
• Benutzen Sie den EA-Monitor um die Dateninhalte
zu prüfen.
The Modbus Plus gateways require only few settings to
be done.
Peform the settings using the configuration dialog and
subsequently transfer them to the gateway using
Online > Download.
Trouble shooting
Ethernet TCP/IP Interface
• Check the network settings of your PCs.
• With the ping command in MS-DOS Prompt you can
easily check if a connection via TCP/IP to the Gate-
way is possible. Open the MS-DOS Prompt and enter
ping 192.168.0.160 (the IP address has to be the
same as set in the gateway) and press the Return
key. Could a connection be established then the
answer is displayed by the following text Reply from
192.168.0.160 ... Otherwise a connection timeout is
displayed.
Cable
• Make sure that the pin occupation of the used cable is
correct
Diagnostic using the System Configurator
• Check at fieldbus Master gateways which nodes are
present on the bus using Online > Live List that
these match the configuration.
• Check at fieldbus Master gateways to which devices a
process data exchange is executed (green colored
line to the icon of the node) by using Online > Start
Debugmode.
• Display the diagnostic information of a Slave/Node
using Online > Device Diagnostic.
• Use the IO-Monitor function to check the data con-
tents.
