Es kann jedes Kabel verwendet werden (geschirmt
oder ungeschirmt), das die folgenden Eigenschaften
besitzt (bei f = 167 kHz):

Eine maximale Gesamtlänge (inklusive aller
Stichleitungen) von 100 m darf aber nicht überschritten
werden. Abschlusswiderstände sind nicht erforderlich.
Durch Repeater kann die Gesamtlänge erhöht werden.
Die AS-Interface-Topologie ist eine Baumstruktur. Pro
Kanal können bis zu 31 AS-Interface-Slaves mit beliebi-
gem Profil im unteren Adressbereich angeschlossen
werden. Durch Verwendung von Slaves mit dem Profil
x.A.y kann eine Adressverdoppelung erreicht werden.

The total length of the AS-Interface line shall not
exceed 100 meters. This length shall be calculated
inclusive the sum of all trunk lines. Termination resistors
are not needed. The total length can be increased by
repeaters. The AS-Interface topology is a tree structure.
Per channel up to 31 AS-Interfaces Slaves with any
profile within the lower address range can be
connected. By use of Slaves with the profile x.A.y an
address doubling can be achieved.
