20-80 mΩ - best quality, mainly new cells able to deliver
high output currents – can be used in the high drain
devices i.e. flashlights, digital cameras, toys.
81-200 mΩ - standard quality, still can be used in most
devices.
201-500 mΩ - not able to deliver high currents,
recommended for low drain devices i.e. clocks, remotes,
computer mouse and keyboard. Often, for the Ni-MH
cells, the result can be improved by using the "Refresh"
mode.
>500 mΩ - low quality or old, used up cells. For the best
reliability and safety reasons we recommend to replace
such cells with the new ones. Charging time of such cells
can be significantly longer and they can heat up during
the charge/discharge process. In most devices they will
show "discharged battery" warning even when they are
fully charged and just removed from the charger.
Please note that this test is not accurate when using
additional C/D size charging adapters.
The contact points/pins have to be clean and in good
condition to achieve good, reproducible results.
Stage 1. Testing. After 10s after the cell is inserted/the
"Quick test" mode is applied the result can be read from
the LCD display.
