To set the stop screws 9 on the right, press setting gauge 10 on the right
side of the dovetail jig towards the left against a finger of the template 3.
Push stop screws 9 from the right to the setting gauge 10 and set them
as described before.
Note: It is recommended to make a test joint to check the setting of the
dovetail jig.
Marking and Clamping the Boards (see Fig.
Lay out the boards. Mark the inside of the front board with a, the other
boards sequentially with b, c and d. Number consecutively associated
edges from I...IV.
Boards with the same edge numbers are clamped together with one an-
other. Align the edges marked I and III to the left stop screws 9 and the
edges marked II and IV to the right stop screws 9.
Example: Edge I, boards a and b.
Place the board a horizontally on the base plate 16 and align it to the
stop screw 9. The edge to be machined must be flush with the front
edge of the base plate 16 and the marking must be visible. Tighten
upper clamping bracket 2.
Push the board b vertically behind the front tension backet 2 and align it
on the left stop screw 9. The edge to be machined must be flush with
the top of board a and the marking must be visible. Tighten front clamp-
ing bracket 2.
Observe square angles to obtain a good quality and dimensional accura-
cy of the joint. This can be checked with a stop angle.
Install template 3 and lock with clamping levers 5 and 11.

Note: To achieve a good result, ob-
serve the following:
• Always ensure a good contact to
the template during cutting.
• Do not move router and cutting tool
upwards as this could damage tem-
plate 3 and workpiece.
• To prevent "tilting" of the router,
guide handles parallel to the tem-
plate 3.
