Trouble Shooting Information
Should you encounter problems operating your MicroC O m eter, please
consult the table below:
Problem
MicroC O cannot be
switched on or "bat"
is displayed
Battery life is
shorter than
expected
"C EL" is displayed
"Err" is displayed
"bt2" is displayed
"gAS" is displayed
Possible Cause
Batteries are flat
Unit not being
switched off
Fuel cell is
depleted
Gas cylinder empty
Internal battery
has expired
Fuel cell is
depleted
Fuel cell is
contaminated by
residual gas or
solvents

Solution
C hange the battery
Turn the unit off after
use
Return unit for cell
replacement
C heck valve on cylinder
for contents and replace
cylinder if necessary
C heck the calibration
value on the cylinder is
20ppm.
Return unit for battery
replacement
Return unit for cell
replacement
Allow unit to be
exposed to clean air.
Turn unit ON and await
message to disappear,
if not return unit for cell
replacement.
