• Use the device in a moderate climate only, do not use it in a tropical climate.
For more information on acceptable environmental conditions, see the chapter

"Technical data".

• The housing of the USB charging station and the power adapter heat up during
operation (depending on the output current). Make sure that there is sufficient
ventilation; never cover the USB charging station and the power adapter during
operation.
• For safety reasons, it is recommended not to leave mobile phones, smartphones
and tablets unattended when charging.
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops, the operation of
the product is to be supervised by trained employees.
• Disconnect the product from the mains voltage when you no longer need it (e.g.,
when it is put for storage). Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Disconnect the product from the mains voltage during thunderstorms in order to
protect the product as well as the connected devices from any damages.
• Do not apply force when connecting the USB plugs. A USB plug fits only in one
direction into the USB socket.
CONTROLS
A Rack for up to 8 mobile phones, smartphones or tablets
B On/Off switch
C Power LED
D Round low-voltage socket for power supply
E 6x USB current output, each with output current of 1 A
F 2x USB current output with total output current of 2.4 A (combined)
G 2x USB current output, each with output current of 2.4 A

GETTING STARTED

Please note:
The USB charging station is only intended for charging appropriate equipment (e.g.
mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, etc.). It cannot be used as a USB hub and does
not transfer any data.
• Connect the round socket (D) of the USB charging station with the corresponding round
plug of the enclosed power adapter. Connect the power adapter via the supplied mains
cable to an appropriate mains socket of the public supply grid.
• Place the USB charging station on a level, flat, stable surface. Protect valuable furniture
surfaces by using a suitable mat to prevent scratches, pressure points or discolourations.
• Switch on the USB charging station by the On/Off switch (B). The power LED (C) lights up.
• The USB charging station is now ready for operation; the charging outputs can be used for
the connection of appropriate devices.
Please use a matching USB current output with your device. Four USB cables (USB
plug type A to micro-USB connector) are in the package content, other USB cables can
be delivered as accessories.
As a rule, mobile phones and smartphones can be connected to the same current
output (E), as current output of 1 A should be sufficient for them.
In contrast, tablets should be connected to one of the two current outputs (G). These
outputs supply 2.4 A.
The two current outputs (F) share the output current of 2.4 A. Connect here either two
mobile phones/smartphones or one tablet. However, do not connect two tablets.
• Due to integrated electronics, the USB charging station detects the charging current
required by a mobile phone, smartphone or tablet. However, due to great variety of devices
it cannot be guaranteed that all devices can be charged with maximum possible charging
current (as in case of an original charger matching the device).
• After a mobile phone, smartphone or tablet is fully charged, disconnect it from the USB
charging station.
The USB charging station is protected against overtemperature, overcurrent and
short circuit. If the USB charging station does not operate correctly, disconnect it
from power supply. Also disconnect all connected devices from the charging station.
Wait until the charging station has cooled down. Eliminate the reason for the failure
(e.g. defect USB cable) and put the USB charging station again into use.
• If charging of all connected devices is over, disconnect the USB charging station and switch
off the mains voltage by removing the mains plug out of the mains socket.
Keep the product in a cool, dry, dust-free place out of the reach of children.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any
reason.
Disconnect the product from the mains voltage before cleaning.
Only clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Dust can easily be removed using a clean,
soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals for cleaning; these can lead not only to
discolouration, but can also damage the product.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household
waste.
Please dispose of the device, when it is no longer of use, according to current statu-
tory requirements.
