14. Troubleshooting

The following table shows fault symptoms and describes remedial measures in the event of your machine failing to
work properly. If you cannot localise and rectify the problem with this, please contact your service workshop.
Fault
Pump does not start.
Pump does not deliver.
Pump does not switch
off.
Inadequate pump
delivery.
Pump switches off after
short running time.

Possible cause

No mains voltage.
Float switch (8) does not switch.
Pump performance reduced due to
heavily contaminated and abrasive water
impurities.
Minimum water depth too shallow for
starting.
Float switch (8) cannot sink.
Pump performance reduced due to
heavily contaminated and abrasive water
impurities.
Motor protection switches off the pump
due to excessive water contamination.
Water temperature too high, motor
protection switches off the product.

Remedy
Check mains voltage.
Move float switch to higher position.
Clean the pump.
Put the pump deeper into the liquid to be
pumped.
Position the pump correctly on the bottom
of the shaft.
Clean the pump.
Pull out mains plug and clean pump and
shaft.
Observe the maximum water temperature
of 35°C!
