Assembling the supporting wheel
Fasten the supporting wheel (4) with the screws (17) to the
protective hood (3).

Commissioning

Mains connection
Compare the voltage given on the machine model plate e.g.
230 V with the mains voltage and connect the saw to the
relevant and properly earthed plug
Only hook up the machine by means of a fault-current circuit
breaker (30 mA).
Use connecting or extension cables up to a length of 25 m
featuring a core cross section of at least 1.5 mm².

Mounting of the extension cable

In order to prevent an unintended loosening of the
connection assembly put the extension cable as noose through
the opening on the rear handhold and put it over the cable
mounting.
Switch on
Do not use any device where the switch can not be
switched on and off. Damaged switches must be repaired
or replaced immediately by the customer service.
The lawn trimmer has a two-hand protective shut-down
which prevents an unintended switching on.
Switch on
First press the round locking knob (6) on the side and then the
ON/OFF handle button (7).
While working, you can release the locking knob (6).
Switching off
Release the ON/OFF handle button (7).

Working instructions

Before commencing work, ensure the
following:
You may not start to operate the machine until you have
read these operating instructions, observed all the
instructions given and installed the machine as described!
Make sure to have a safe and tidied up work area. Remove
from the working area objects which might be thrown off.
Before starting your work make sure that:
− no other persons or animals stay within the working
area,
− you can always step back without any barriers,
− you have always a secure standing position.
Only trim the lawn when it is dry, then you will obtain the
best results.

Correct working position
Before you start working it is recommended to adjust your lawn
trimmer so that you can work safely and comfortably.
Telescopic tube
You can use the telescopic tube to adjust
Four height positions are possible.
1. Press the adjusting knob (12) upwards.
2. You can release the adjusting knob while pulling or pushing
3. Then, the adjusting knob engages in the next position.
Guide handle
For better control, grasp the lawn trimmer also at the guide
handle (10).You can adjust the guide handle in height to have a
better working comfort.
1. Hold the locking knobs (11) pressed.
2. Move the handle to your desired position.
3. Release the locking knobs.
4. The handle engages.
Angle adjustment
By angle adjustment of the device you can also reach hardly
accessible areas, e.g. below benches or shrubs. The lawn
trimmer features four angle positions.

If persons who have blood circulation problems are too
by thick and warm working gloves,
Always keep your hands and feet at a safe distance to
the rotating cutting thread.
Before starting, remove the protective cap (20) from the
thread knife (21).

Always keep the ventilation apertures free.
The cutting thread is after-running once the lawn trimmer
has been powered off. Therefore wait until the thread is
stationary before you restart the product.
