11.4. Using the WLAN radio as a media client
Your WLAN radio supports the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) protocol. You can
transfer audio files wirelessly from your PC to your WLAN radio if UPnP software is
installed.
The Internet radio supports integration as a digital media renderer (DMR). This
means you can play music files from your computer on the Internet radio, and also
set the volume from the computer.
NOTE!
The UPnP protocol is available in Windows XP as of Windows Media
Player 11. In Windows 7, you must first confirm the UPnP connection on
the computer. Please also refer to the relevant documentation of your
operating system!
11.5. Connection between the Internet radio and a
media server
To connect the radio to the media server, proceed as follows:
Open the 'Musicplayer' menu in the main menu (or press the MODE button
repeatedly) and select Shared media.
The radio starts to search for available media contents in the network. After a few
seconds, the media server name is shown (if it has been found), for example, 'My
NAS server' .
If you want to connect the installed media server to the radio, confirm by
pressing the rotary dial (OK).
The folders and music files located on the media server appear. You can now select
music files and play them.
NOTE!
You may need to confirm and enable the connection on your PC.
