9. Installation of the Surveillance Cameras

The surveillance cameras have a pre-installed wall holder. It can be attached in a suitable location with four screws.
Use suitable screws and dowels for the surface.
You must drill a sufficiently sized hole as well to pass through the connection cable for invisible and sabotage-proof
placement.
When drilling or tightening screws, ensure that no wires or lines are damaged.
Select the assembly site so that it is protected from manipulation attempts at the surveillance camera. The
surveillance camera therefore should be installed at a minimum height of 2.5 m.
Either guide the connection cable under the wall holder on the side or push it through a present hole in the wall where
you want to screw on the wall holder.
Protect the plugs from dust and dirt, e.g. with a small plastic bag.
If the connection cable is too short (depending on the wall thickness or mounting position), you need to use
a suitable connection box. This connection box must be suitable for assembly in the outdoor area depend-
ing on assembly site of the camera.
The cable connection for the video output or the power supply can then be placed in the connection box;
this also applies to the housing with the control lever in the surveillance camera cable.
Place all cables so that they are protected from manipulation, e.g. in a cable duct or similar.

10. Connection

Connect the BNC-video inputs of the digital recorder to your surveillance cameras. The digital recorder is specifically
suitable for AHD cameras.
There are video outputs via BNC, VGA or HDMI to connect a surveillance screen. The desired resolution for the con-
nected screen can be set in the setup menu later.
Connect the enclosed USB mouse with a USB port.
Connect the surveillance cameras and the digital recorder to the power supply. The two mains adapters are of the
same build; therefore, it does not matter which one you use.
Right after connection to the power supply, the digital recorder will perform a self-test (approx. 10 seconds); then it
will be ready for operation.
Do not move the digital recorder with the hard disc installed by you when it is in operation. Movement in
operation may cause the writing/reading heads in the hard disc to hit the magnetic disc. This may cause
data loss and damage to the hard disc!
The same applies for a duration of 30 seconds if the digital recorder is disconnect from the power supply,
until the magnetic discs in the hard disc have come to a stop.
