c) Digital Recorder

• Never cover the ventilation openings.
• Only put up the digital recorder on a level, horizontal and stable surface. Protect expensive furniture
surfaces from impressions or scratches with suitable pads.
• Do not move the digital recorder with the hard disc installed by you when it is in operation. Movement in
operation may cause the writing/reading heads in the hard disc to hit the magnetic disc. This may cause
data loss and damage to the hard disc!

d) Surveillance Cameras

• The surveillance cameras must only be connected to a stabilised direct current voltage between
12 V/DC (via the enclosed mains adapter).
• The connection plugs at the surveillance camera's connection cable are not water-proof or water-tight
and therefore must be in a dry indoor area or protected accordingly.
• The IR light is not visible for the human eye. Therefore, it is not evident whether an IR-LED is lit or not.
Due to the intensity of the installed IR-LEDs, there is a danger of eye damage if you look at it from a
short distance (<2 m).
Attention, IR LED light!
Never look into the IR LED beam!
Never watch directly or with optical instruments!
• The operation of these surveillance cameras is no substitute for your responsibility to supervise children
or other people in need of special care. It only serves as a support.
• Install the surveillance cameras so that they are not pointed at bright light sources (e.g. the sun). This
may damage the sensors.

e) Operation

• The product is not a toy. Devices that are operated with mains voltage have no place in the hands of
children. Therefore, be particularly careful when children are present. Operate the product in a way that
it is out of reach of children.
• The digital recorder and the mains adapters must not become moist or wet; operation is only permitted
in dry, closed inner rooms. Do not touch the mains adapters with wet or damp hands. There is danger to
life from electric shock from the mains adapters!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, intense vibration or heavy mechanical strain.
Protect it from dust and dirt.
• The enclosed cameras are suitable for indoor and outdoor installation and use. However, they must not
be operated in or under water; they would be destroyed.
• Never use the digital recorder and the mains adapters immediately after the devices have been taken
from a cold into a warm environment. The resulting condensation may destroy the devices. This also
causes danger to life from electric shock by the mains adapters! Let the devices reach room temperature
before connecting and using them. This may take several hours.
