7. START-UP

If overloaded, the product might get damaged. The warranty will get void in such
a case.
Do not plug several energy consumption meters together.
The device is not suitable for use in explosive environments.
Avoid the proximity of strong magnetic fields (engines, etc.).
Avoid impact and strong vibrations as well as operation in direct sunlight.
CAT II The device complies with the measuring category II for use with appliances that
are directly connected to the public power grid by use of a mains plug.
Connect the energy costs meter to a normal isolated ground receptacle in your home featuring a
230 V/AC 50 Hz alternating voltage.
Make sure the electric appliance to be measured is turned off. Connect the mains plug of the electric
appliance to the isolated ground receptacle (1).
Turn on the electric appliance and wait a few seconds until the meter displays the first readings.
Before you can use all functions of the device you will have to perform some settings and familiarize
yourself with these operating instructions.
This power consumption meter features two display modes:
CURRENT and FORECAST
The current mode displays all data (power consumption, electricity costs, etc.) as accumulated
values. In forecast mode all data of the consumption forecast are based on a fixed time frame such
as one day, one week, one month or one year.
CURRENT (current mode)
FORECAST (forecast mode)
The current mode features 4 display functions:
ON: Online operation; Standby: Energy Costs Meter in Stand-by-operation; OFF: Energy Costs Meter
in Offline operation; no display: total value.
Using these display functions requires you to enter the value for standby beforehand. The default
value for standby is 0.5 W.
