plow unit receive drive power when they are
engaged. When they are not engaged the drive
unit and the plow unit must be in idling mode.
Further information on this is provided in point
9.4 (Adjusting the cables).
Assemble the selector lever (5) as shown in Fig.
10 - 13. First attach the selector lever to the push
bar using the support plate provided for it. Then
secure the selector lever using the bolt (Fig. 12 /
Item 17) and the nut (Fig. 12 / Item 18).
Tightening the setting screw (Fig. 13 / Item A)
will cause the selector lever to be pushed
upwards into its locked position by a spring.
Undo the screw (Fig. 13 / Item A) to fit the
selector lever.
Fit the snow ejection unit (8) as shown in Fig. 14
- 16. As you fit the snow ejection unit, ensure
that you only tighten the bolts so far that they can
still turn.
Fit the adjusting lever for the snow ejection unit
as shown in Fig. 17 to 20.

6. Before starting the machine

Important. You must fill up with engine oil (approx.
0.6 l) and fuel before you can start the engine.
Check the fuel and engine oil levels and top up if
necessary
Make sure that the spark plug boot is secured to
the spark plug
Check the area immediately around the snow
plow

7. Operation

Please note that the statutory regulations governing
noise abatement may differ from town to town.
The snow plow can be operated either with a two-
wheel drive (delivery condition) or a single-wheel
drive to make it easier to control the plow.
Proceed as follows to change from a two-wheel to a
single-wheel drive:
Ensure that the engine is switched off.
Replace the safety split pin from the left wheel
(Fig. 31).
Now insert the safety split pin into the outer hole
in the axle (Fig. 32) so that the wheel can turn
freely on the axle.
To revert back to the two-wheel drive version,

follow the above instructions in reverse order.
Important. Check that the skids (Fig. 22 / Item 10)
are correctly adjusted. The skids should be adjusted
so that the plow unit is just above ground level.

7.1 Starting the engine

Open the petrol cock (Fig 1a / Item 15) by
pushing it to the right
Move the throttle lever (Fig. 1a / Item 13) to the
center position
Set the ON/Off switch (Fig. 1 / Item 12) to the
"ON" position
Push the choke lever (Fig. 1a / Item 14) to the
left
Start the engine using the reversing starter (Fig.
1a / Item 16).
To do this pull the handle approx. 10 – 15 cm
(until you feel a resistance) and then start the
engine with a sharp pull. If the engine does not
start, pull the handle again.
Important. Do not release the cable so that it
whips back by itself.
Slowly push the throttle lever (Fig. 1a / Item 13)
to the right to increase the engine speed.
Push in the choke lever (Fig.1a / Item 14) after
approx. 1 minute in temperatures below -5ºC or
after approx. 30 seconds in temperatures above
-5ºC.
If the engine is warm you can leave the choke
lever (Fig. 1a / Item 14) in its open position when
starting the engine.
7.2 Using the snow plow
Push the throttle lever (Fig 1a / Item 13) to the
right (full speed).
Set the required ejecting direction for the snow
ejection unit (Fig. 1 / Item 8) using the adjusting
lever (Fig. 1 / Item 4).
Please note: Ensure that there are no people or
animals in front of the plow unit or in the selected
direction of the snow ejection unit (caution: the
ejection range may be between 10 and 15
meters).
Set the required working speed using the gear
selector (1st gear slow to 5th gear fast). There
are two reverse gears (R1 slow, R2 fast).
Note: Select a slow speed for wet heavy snow,
and a higher speed for light powdery snow.
Press the left-hand control lever (Fig. 1 / Item 3)
downwards to engage the plow unit, which will
then start to rotate.
