CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down.

Clean the jug with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water. Never put the

appliance in a dishwasher. Do not allow the electrical connections to become damp.
If the interior of the jug becomes severely discoloured, clean it with a damp cloth and a
•
little washing soda. After cleaning, rinse the jug very thoroughly.
ATTENTION:
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as
knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down.

DESCALING DESCALING
This appliance has an integral heating element, which means limescale will not form.
•
You do not need to descale this appliance.
If you still wish to descale this appliance, follow these steps:
•
1. Unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool down.
2. The kettle has a descaling filter. Remove the filter when cleaning.
3. Fill the jug to the 'max' level with vinegar solution, then bring to a boil.
4. Leave the jug with the vinegar solution to stand for a couple of hours.
5. Empty the jug, fill to the 'max' level with clean water and bring to a boil. Empty the jug.
Repeat this process twice.
Never use ammonia or other products to descale the appliance. Only use a
•
vinegar solution or special descaling agents.
