MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND HANDLING
METHOD
l. Quick reverse function
The running direction of tape is automatically switched
over by sensing the joint between the magnetic
leader tapes by means of the LED sensor while the tape
is running.
The MODE SELECTOR allows selection from among:
one-way (recording/playback only in the forward
reverse direction); two-way (when recording/playback
the forward direction is over, the tape run automatically
changes to the reverse direction and recording/playback
starts); and endless (continuous playback from the for-
ward direction to the reverse direction and vice
until the STOP button is pressed).
2. Tape standby function
When the FAST FORWARD and REWIND buttons
pressed at the same time, the tape is rewound up to its
beginning, then the first portion of the leader tape is fast
forwarded to create a tape standby state.
3. Tape counter auto reset function

wound up to its beginning, at which time the counter
display is automatically set to 888.
4. Scanaplay function
When the S & P (scanaplay) button is pressed, the tape
counter assumes a music selection mode. Scanaplay
gins after the tape is rewound up to its beginning.

where the MULTI-REPEAT button was pressed during
playback. Thus the tape can be played back for
number of times which was indicated to the selection
counter (15 times at maximum).

Heading of the piece of music you are now listening

the PLAYBACK button. Also heading of the next piece
of music is possible by pressing the FAST FORWARD
