The size of the surrounding area to be taken into account depends on the structure of the building and other activities taking place there. The
surrounding area may extend beyond the boundaries of the facility.
Assessment of the welding equipment
In addition to the assessment of the surrounding area, the arc welding equipment's assessment can be used to identify and resolve cases of
interference. It is appropriate that the assessment of any emissions should include in situ procedures as specified in Article 10 of CISPR 11. In-situ
measurements can also be used to verify the effectiveness of any mitigation measures.
SETTING UP THE MACHINE
• The product should be protected from driving rain and not be exposed to direct sunlight.
• The unit has an IP44 protection rating, which means:
- it is protected against solid objects larger than 1 millimetre and,
- protected against water spray from all directions.
The unit can be used outdoors in accordance with the IP44 protection rating.
Power, extension and welding cables must be completely uncoiled in order to avoid overheating.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage to persons or objects caused by improper and dangerous use of this
equipment.

MAINTENANCE / RECOMMENDATIONS

• Maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified person. Annual maintenance is recommended.
• Disconnect from the power supply by pulling the plug out.
• Regularly check the condition of the power cable. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the after sales service
team or an equally qualified person to avoid any danger.
INSTALLATION - USING THE PRODUCT
We recommend that you use the control cable supplied with the unit to achieve optimum product settings.
DESCRIPTION
This unit is a digital remote control for monitoring current, various welding parameters and for recalling JOBs. The functions and JOBs available de-
pend on the power source connected to this remote control. This unit is designed for TIG and MMA welding.
CONNECTING (I)
When connecting or disconnecting the cable between the power source and the remote control, the power source must be swit-
ched off. Ensure the machine is unplugged from the mains, and then wait 2 minutes.
The RC-HD4 remote control is compatible with power sources fitted with a digital 7-pin Amphenol connector.
Some power supplies are not fitted with this connector as standard, and require the optional digital connector kit (081246) to be
fitted in order to be compatible with this unit.
