1. Turn the locking bolt by hand through 90° in the "OPEN" direction.
→ The battery cover is unlocked and can be removed.
→ Pull the drive unit cover forwards. Pulling to the side can damage the cover.
2. Disconnect the plug from the battery by turning the plug to unlock it and then pulling it off.
3. Unscrew the hex screw with a 4 mm hex key. Remove the battery from the down tube by pulling on the tab.
If you are riding without a battery:
• Close the frame opening for the battery screw with the rubber plug attached to the battery holder.
• Attach the battery cable to the drive unit cover using Velcro tape.
