3. Operation

3.1. Tuningmode

The tuning mode is activated as soon as the sIMPLEk-Stick Pro is plugged in. The speed actually driven remains
readable in tuning mode if the speed limit is not reduced. Up to 20
via the second digit and the decimal place. Example:23.5
Setting the speed limit for the motor support
The adjustment of the speed limit can be achieved by a calibration deviating from 10.0
the calibration values and the associated speed limits. It should be noted that from the speed limit, the throttling of
the support begins and ends approx. 6
Automatic route compensation
In order to compensate for the difference between the distance actually covered and the distance displayed, the
maximum speed driven is displayed after about one minute of standstill until the distance has been covered. As soon
as the difference has been compensated, the display drops to 0.0
If the e-bike is switched off beforehand, the sIMPLEk saves the difference and catches up later. As a result, the
maximum speed and the distance traveled/total distance are correctly displayed.
Note BOSCH Gen4 engines:
With regard to the tuning detection, it is particularly recommended for the Smart System models to lower the speed
limit for the engine setting. We also recommend running the automatic route compensation after each trip to
counteract the "anti-tuning measures".
Reset maximum driven speed
The maximum driven speed, which is displayed to compensate for the difference in the distance traveled, is reset
by performing the calibration again (see 3.2 Calibration mode).
