DESCALING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE COFFEE MACHINE
Drinking water varies by region. Limescale particles from drinking water are deposited as
residue in the machine and can block the pipe and cause damage. To avoid this, make sure
to descale the machine at least after making 300 to 400 cups of coffee or, in any case, if
production drops significantly or, after one or two months. Descaling must be done correctly
to avoid damage.
Please follow the instructions below carefully:
1. Fill the tank with a mixture of water and special descaling liquid for coffee machines avail-
able on the market (always follow the manufacturer's instructions).
2. Make sure there are no capsules inside the machine.
3. Place a large container under the dispensing head to collect the mixture and lime residue.
4. Enter descaling mode to begin the process. Repeat the process several times until all the
water in the tank is gone.
5. Repeat the process to rinse the internal circuit with a tank of clean water, without descal-
ing liquid, to completely clean the internal circuit and ensure the good taste of your drinks.
Important
• Be very careful with hot water!
• Never clean the machine with vinegar. This will cause damage to the machine and cause
drinks to taste bad.
• Damage caused by incorrect descaling or lack of descaling is not covered by the warranty.
• If there is no water flow into the coffee machine, the internal water pump will need to be
drained.
• This procedure may be necessary if the coffee maker is not used for a long time or if it was
activated without water in the tank.
• It is advisable to drain the coffee maker when you use it for the first time.
• To drain the pump and use the coffee maker normally, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the appliance from the power supply and remove the water tank. Remove the cap-
sules and capsule holders from the coffee machine and lower the lever.
2. Connect the drain fitting to the water inlet and remove the plunger.
3. Add a little water.
4. Attach the plunger to the fitting again and push it in all the way.
• The water contained in the pump will pass into the internal system, causing the elimination
of the air contained in the pipes.
• During this process, some water may come out from the pin located at the top back of the
appliance, use a cloth to prevent the water from falling on the table.
• If necessary, repeat this procedure 2 or 3 times.
